On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Carl Edwin Ruleman Jr. of Huntingtown, MD passed away peacefully at age 85 surrounded by his loving family.  Carl was born in Washington DC and grew up in Forestville and College Park, MD, before moving to Calvert County where he raised his family and resided until his death.  He was the devoted son of the late Carl Edwin Ruleman Sr. and Grace Estelle Morris.  Loving father to Tamara Ann Thatcher and partner Steve Gladhill; and Carl Edward “Buzzie” Ruleman and wife Eileen.  Proud grandfather or  “Poppop” to Carl Dillon Thatcher and wife Hannah; Carleigh Ruleman Hill and husband Nicholas; and Patrick James Ruleman; and great-grandfather to Weston Nicholas Hill.  Carl is also survived by his brother Gary Ruleman and wife Bettina; his sister Dolores Comploier; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends, including his best friend, who he considered his second son Mickey Reefer.  Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Thatcher III, and nephew Brian Comploier.  Friends and family will be welcomed at Rausch Funeral Home, Owings, MD on Friday April 4, from 10-12 with a service to follow at 12:00 PM.  Burial to follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
