June Virginia Ouellette
June 12, 1929 – December 25, 2024
June Virginia (Beede) Ouellette, 95, of Lusby, MD passed away on December 25, 2024 at The Hermitage.
June was born in Laconia, NH on June 12, 1929. She met her future husband Oscar Ouellette (Willie), while attending Laconia High School. They were married for seventy-one years before Oscar passed away in 2021. Together they had five children; Linda Hornburg, Lusby, MD who preceded her in death, Brenda Villella (Dave) of Littleton, CO, Ralph Ouellette (Terry) of Lusby, MD, John Ouellette of Prince Frederick, MD and Sandra Lawson of Solomons, MD.
June (Grannie) and Oscar (Willie) moved to Calvert County, MD in the mid 1950’s. They opened the Frying Pan Restaurant in 1969 and worked side-by-side for more than twenty years. After retiring they enjoyed travelling around the country in their RV, going on cruises and taking trips to Europe. They enjoyed having family and friends over for the holidays – whether it was summer by the pool or winter in the “big room”, watching a Redskins game, playing pool, slots and eating delicious food. Grannie loved seeing her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren having fun.
Summers were spent in and around the pool and in “Willie and June’s” crab shack, eating crabs and clams and talking and laughing. Grannie loved to go out and sit at the pool’s edge and reminisce about the good times with family and friends. She enjoyed having a cold beer or margarita with her favorite people. June was an avid baseball fan and loved cheering for the Boston Red Sox. She watched every game and knew every player and their stats. All family friends who met her loved her instantly and called her Grannie. She is loved and will be missed by all.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (historic church). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in June’s name.

We are so very sorry to hear about her passing. A nicer lady you will never meet. She treats everyone she met like family. Brenda and I have been friends since middle school. When she was home from CO at times we would catch up at her mom and dads. She will be missed.
With sincere sympathy.
Brenda, Ralph and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a wonderful lady. I haven’t seen her in years but loved that she and Willie spent time with my Mom and Dad. Loved the week we spent in St. Maarten’s, My Dad, Willie and I went on a fishing trip, caught 2 beautiful tuna. Held a fish fry for the whole resort, everyone brought a side dish and Chef Willie fixed the fish.
My Mom and June entertained everyone. What great memories
