Jeanne Richy Latham
January 12, 1944 – July 9, 2024
Our loving mother, Jeanne Richy Latham, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024. She turned 80 on January 12.
She is survived by her two sons and their families: Carl and his wife Liza, and David; her grandchildren whom she doted on, spoiled and loved with everything she had — Carl’s children — Cory, Camron, Lia; and David’s children — Shaun and Elizabeth; her oldest grandson, David Michael, preceded her in death in 2017. She was preceded in death by her sister Judy Glaes in 2015.
Mom was all about family. Everything she did, every purpose and goal was centered on what she could give or do for family — from her sons and grandchildren, to her cousin Pam Weber who was more like a sister; her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, her nieces and nephews, and the many amazing friends and neighbors becoming more like family where she lived so happily for the last 20 years in Drum Point. Always admiring her garden, the beach, and wildlife especially the birds.
Mom/Grandma will always be remembered for her welcoming hugs, bright, warm smiles, her kindness and her love. She will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know her and be a part of her life. Mom /Grandma — rest peacefully now. We will always love you and miss you.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at 12:30 p.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, MD. A repass will follow at the Hilton Garden Inn at 13100 Dowell Rd, Dowell, MD 20629.

I am so sorry and so very sad that Jeanne is not here with us now. She will forever be in my heart, in the hearts of all of those who loved her, and in the hearts of those she loved.
It was through Jeanne’s sister, Judy Glaes, that I met and got to know Jeanne. Judy was a decades-long friend who felt like dear family from the moment I first met her. I felt the same about Jeanne when I met her at some of Judy’s events. And after Judy passed away, Jeanne and I were in touch frequently– sometimes every day.
Jeanne’s heart was so very warm and caring, and I will forever cherish her good and kind spirit, her laughter, and her love of life.
Wishing Jeanne’s dear family and friends peace of mind and heart.
