Gregory Alexander “Greg” Ellwood
July 11, 1964 – June 10, 2024
It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gregory Alexander “Greg” Ellwood. Gregory of Huntingtown, MD passed away on June 10, 2024, in his home. He was born July 11, 1964, in Cheverly to Samuel Murray and Faye Elizabeth (Marquis) Ellwood. Greg grew up in New Carrollton and graduated from Parkdale High School. He graduated from Towson University with a degree in music, and found joy, particularly on the keyboard. Greg was an accomplished musician who had the honor of playing at the Kennedy Center multiple times. He was the former director of music at Huntingtown United Methodist Church and was a current member of Church by the Chesapeake. He married his wife, Page in 1990 and made a home in Huntingtown MD. He enjoyed a successful career as Regional Manager of Industrial Sales with ISCO Industries for many years. In his spare time, Greg enjoyed playing with his dogs, deep sea fishing, golfing, cooking, and traveling the world. Greg is survived by his wife Page Ellwood of Huntingtown and sons Zachary Ellwood of Buffalo, NY, and Jacob Ellwood and his fiancé Jaime Reichnach of North Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents. His legacy is not just in the memories he created but in the lives he touched, the hearts he uplifted, and the kindness he bestowed upon others. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the profound impact he had on all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers donations in Greg’s name can be made to some of Greg’s favorite charities, The Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Humane Society of Calvert County at the address and links below.

My condolences to Page, Zach and Jake.
When a terrible shock like this happens I find comfort knowing the deceased is with their loved ones, especially his loving parents, and friends who have preceded them in death.
I am, and will continue, to keep Greg and family in my prayers.
Love,
Allen Ellwood
My cousin Greg, you left us too soon. We will always remember the fun times at Siesta Key and the crazy times when we were little. I always admired your dry humor and calm demeanor. We find comfort knowing you are with family and our heavenly father, blessing them with your musical talents. You will be missed by many. Our hearts are with you, David & Terry
My heart goes out to the Ellwood family. I grew up as neighbors in Marley Run, playing basketball, soccer in the driveway/cul-de-sac with Mr. Greg, Zach, and Jake. Mr. Greg was always out their with us hooping. From 1995 until 2014 we were neighbors. I won’t ever forget the evenings of cookouts, basketball in the pool, and just the neighborly love Mr. Greg always showed. Truly hurts to see him gone, prayers are with the family.
Page, Zach and Jake,
I’m so sorry to hear of Greg’s passing. Our hearts are broken for you all. Greg had an incredible gift of hospitality and always had a kind word to any that he encountered. When we were planning a revival at Trinity UMC we wanted and needed different music. We asked Greg and he was all in! His music and joy was phenomenal. He just radiated with the love of God. I can almost hear his music with the angels in heaven. We are praying for God to walk closely with you and heal your broken hearts. Hugs. Bev and Wayne
Greg,
To say I was shocked to hear the news of your passing was an understatement. All I have been doing since then is thinking about all the good times, hanging out, our talks and talking about how our Football teams are better. Haha. Unfortunately we lost communication over the last few years, nothing bad, but wish we had of kept our talks going…hmm there’s a lesson there. Rest in Peace Cuz til we see each other again.
Page, Zach, Jake, my prayers and thoughts are with you.
There are no words to describe the shock I am still in that my sweet cousin has passed…entirely too soon. 🙁 I remember visiting with you and your family in New Carrollton when I was little and going swimming at your community pool. It was always a special treat! I remember how fun your wedding was and thrilled that you found someone as wonderful as Page to share your zest for life. Through the years we have had some wonderful times at your house in Huntingtown, 4th of July celebrations in Siesta Key, going to breakfasts/lunches/dinners as David and I traveled through Huntingtown on our way to Charlotte Hall, and many text/phone call conversations. You embodied so many of the wonderful traits I loved about your parents, and the only comfort I have in this moment is that you are reunited in heaven. Those of us left to mourn your passing will undoubtedly do so for a long time to come. My thoughts and prayers are with Page, Zach, Jake, and all who were privileged to know and love Greg. Well done, good and faithful servant. XO Until we meet again, cuz. XO
I’m so sorry for the loss of Greg.
Greg played the keyboard at HUMC for many years. The last time I spoke with him was the last day he played. Greg gave us so much happiness and we will truly miss him. I know his mom Faye greeted him in heaven. She and Greg were very special kind and sweet people.
My heart is with you Page and sons.
Greg was an awesome Teammate here at ISCO Industries, Inc. I had the privilege like many to work with him during his career here. Greg made a positive impact in our HDPE Industry teaching and promoting the “Fuse it or Lose it” mantra. Greg was a very driven, loyal, caring, and passionate man. Greg will be missed. Condolences and sympathy to the Family. God Speed Greg, we will see you again one day.
Oh my Greg, I just learned of your passing from the Towson University alumni news letter. I immediately drifted back to the years at Towson as your roomie. What a fun time I had with you. Memories that I often go back to, when I need a smile. I am blessed to
have known you and to have rekindled our communications later in our busy lives. Rest well my old friend. God bless, Chris
