Thelma G. Dove, 72, of Huntingtown, MD passed away April 12, 2024 at her residence. She was born April 17, 1951 in Cheverly, MD to Marion Regina (Richards) and Albert Leroy Canter. She was raised on her family’s farm in Upper Marlboro and attended public schools. She married Charles Joseph Dove, Jr. on August 10, 1968 and they lived in Upper Marlboro until moving to Huntingtown in the early 1990’s. She was employed at Kmart as a clerk and sales associate. Thelma loved camping, fishing, squirrel hunting, knitting, and crocheting, and was a member of the Country Dock Cloggers with her husband.

Thelma is survived by her husband Charles, sisters Carolyn Brady and husband John Brady III, Lena Davis, and Cheryl Garner, and brothers Joseph Canter and wife Alice, Clarence Canter, Richard Canter and wife Patty, David Canter and wife Helen, and Charles Canter and wife Michelle. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, Thema’s family asks that donations in her memory be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
