Patricia Ann Reynolds
May 11, 1949 – February 11, 2024
Patricia Ann Reynolds, 74, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, peacefully passed surrounded by her family on February 11, 2024, at Calvert Health Medical Center. Patricia was born in Washington, DC on May 11, 1949, to Temple A. Bladen and Edith M. Harris (Vitale). Her siblings include Melvin Bladen and Connie Abner.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Steven Allen Reynolds of Chesapeake Beach; her children, Deborah “Debbie” Zanelotti (Louie) of Owings and Tony Allen Reynolds of Chesapeake Beach and her sister; Connie Abner (Bladen) of Chesapeake Beach
Patricia is also survived by grandchildren: Mili Money (Jimmy), Louis Zanelotti II, Vinnie Zanelotti, Steven Reynolds, Kaylee Reynolds and Toni Eberly. Great grandchildren, Lili Money and Carter Money
She was preceded in death by her parents, Temple A. Bladen, her stepmother Thelma Bladen, her mother Edith Harris (Bladen), her stepfather Donald Harris and brother Melvin Bladen.
Patricia was raised in Virginia for about 10 years before moving to North Beach when her and her siblings soon became one of the “Beach Kids”. She was the Fire Prevention Queen ’66-’67, graduated from Calvert High School in ’67 and soon started working at the Upper Marlboro Court house. Her co-worker asked her if she’d ride with her to go see her husband on base, so she did. Patricia and Steve met that weekend in ’68, they started writing back and forth then three months later they married because Steve wanted to be sure she was taken care of if something were to happen to him while serving in Vietnam. (He was 101st Airborne so that possibility was high) They had two children and stationed at multiple bases until finally landing in California when Steve got out of the Army. They decided to move back to Maryland in ’74 to be closer to family and raise their children.
Patricia would help run a crabbing business with Steve, she worked part time at two local restaurants, Stinnett’s and Rod-n-Reel, as a bookkeeper, so she could be home for her kids when they got off the bus. She would later work at the Naval Research Lab, a couple tracker trailer dealerships, then with her daughter at a non-profit organization in WDC until she finally landed a Federal job as a Contract and Budget Analyst with GSA, she finally retired in 2018. While working at the Ronald Regan Building, she regularly donated blood and platelets, one of many ways she gave back.
Patricia would continue traveling with Steve after retirement and visited many places. They went to HI because they loved Elvis and they enjoyed it so much, five years later they decided to renew their 50th wedding anniversary vows with Debbie and Tony by their side as witnesses. She would often take short trips with her mom, sister, and daughter. She loved spending time with her family even more than traveling! She was very proud of her grandchildren and bragged about them often. She loved the beach, being around water, sitting on her back deck watching the wildlife, the movies, meeting friends for lunch and enjoyed the “shedding” operation of the crabbing business most until, about five years ago (IYKYK lol). She was very creative and artistic, could sew practically anything, painted, sketched, could draw anything and was the “go to” for any creation you wanted help with. She enjoyed planning and helping with various events. She was quite the comedian when with her sister, mother, or anyone that would entertain her humor.
She is loved by soo many from classmates, colleagues and most definitely her husband and family. She truly made a lasting impression with whomever she met. She will be missed by many…
Flowers or donations to the Ovarian Cancer Society is welcomed.
Following the Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M., all are invited to attend a celebration of life reception at the North Beach Fire Department at 4:00 P.M.
Burial services for Patricia will be held Maryland Veterans Cemetery at a date to be determined. Once confirmed, the date and time of burial will be posted on on her page on the Rausch Funeral Home Service Schedule.
A livestream of the funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. on the Rausch Funeral Home Facebook Page.

So sorry to hear of Tricia’s passing. She was a real trooper, but now at peace. What a beautiful person, always a shining smile. You have years of memories but know you will miss her terribly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We won’t make service as we are on vacation.
God Bless,
Celia & George Bodmer
AC!! I’ve been trying to find you and especially when mom was getting bad because I knew you’d want to know. I’m so glad you were able to find out about mom. I shared the story when we were at the beach and you cut your foot 😉 I hope we can get in touch soon, until then, thank you for sharing your memories and condolences 😘

Debbie, I am so sorry to see the passing of your mom. Remembering back: we would go out on the crabbing boat in the early morn. I believe we rode out on the Kathy R…Pat would make soft shell crab sandwiches when we got home. She taught me how to clean a soft shell. She made the best tuna fish sandwiches with pickle juice. She introduced me to Hamburger Helper. Your mom was a very sweet and loving lady.
God bless you and your family moving forward.
Peace…

Connie, Steve and family-I’m so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. She was such a sweet, person with a great smile and warm heart. We hadn’t seen one another for years, but she, Connie and Steve came to Fig’s memorial in 22 and she shared her struggle with me and we have been in touch a few times since. I last sent a card near Christmas but hadn’t heard back from her and then heard this sad news.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but be at peace she is in a better place and out of pain and suffering. Take comfort in the fact that you all had time to talk to her and do things with her and for her and she knew she was loved. Hold tight to your memories and one day your memories will bring a smile to your face without tears in your eyes. My love to each of you, Gloria

Beautiful picture of Patricia .She was such a sweet person.
I remember when we were in majorettes together she always looked out for me because I was younger. I believe it was 1958!
