Delores Frances Stough
July 14, 1934 – January 25, 2024
Delores Frances Stough, 89, of Dunkirk, Maryland, passed away peacefully, January 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 14, 1934, in Washington, D.C., to Charles Henry Armstrong and Ruth Catherine Thompson.
Delores is survived by her children, Debra Ann Norton of Dunkirk, Kathy Ann Selby and husband Richard of Jacksonville, FL, Steven Michael Stough of Waldorf, MD, and Julie Marie Williams of Smithsburg, MD; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister Charlotte Weaver and husband William of Beltsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Donald Stough.
Delores was strong willed and stubborn at times, but also had an enormous heart and unique sense of humor. She enjoyed pranking everyone she came in contact with, was not afraid to speak her mind, and made sure she was the center of attention in any room. Before her health declined she enjoyed dancing, crafting, and baking enough cookies for an army around the holidays. She was a fighter and endured many broken bones, surgeries, and always bounced back.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 starting at 10:00 AM, with a service to begin at 11:00 AM, at Rausch Funeral Home 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane Owings, MD 20736. Procession to follow to her final resting place, with her loving husband at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
In lieu of flowers, which she loved, we are requesting donations in her name be sent to St. Jude’s Hospital. She could have $10 in her pocket and $8 of it would go to the children of St. Jude’s Hospital every month. Donations can be made online at www.stjude.org or by mail at the below:

Kathy, thinking of you and your family as you mourn the loss of your beloved mother. May her memory be eternal and may you find peace in those memories.
With love and our deepest sympathies,
The Moran family, Ceci, Frank, Kevin, and Celia
I remember Dee from our time living next door in New Carrollton, MD. When I was there, she was a friend to my mom, and she and Don spent many good times together with my folks: Buddy and Blanche, whether playing cards or just chatting over the fence, or more likely at one of their driveways next to each other. She was nice to my family and a pleasant person – but with a stern look if necessary. I know you will miss her. May your memories always be great ones.
