So sincere sadness and prayers for you Cathy at this time. My goodness Chris adored you…and always worried about you as well. How blessed he was to have a Mom like you. Prayers for peace and acceptance at this very difficult time.
For some of the formative years of my life, Chris was my best friend. He was perhaps the first real friend I made after changing high schools in my sophomore year (2001). By luck, Chris and I had lunch and photography class together. Chris’ open and direct personality was hard to resist, he wasn’t shy and his goofyness was endearing. Shortly after solidifying our friendship, we added Danny Menendez to what became an inseparable trio – Matt Owenz would eventually make our core four friends.
Our antics during high school, and the years immediately following, are to many to recount. Chris drove us everywhere in his gold Ford Explorer. Through the beach, up to Annapolis, down to Prince Frederick, Waldorf, Bowie, and so many other places – for food, for fun, and sometimes mischief. We golfed together often and even went on a Caribbean cruise our Senior year. Some of my favorite times involved Chris taking us out on Cathy’s SeaRay for cruises around the Chesapeake. I was always amazed at Chris’ knowledge of nautical matters and impressed at how well he maneuvered each progressively larger vessel. These were objectively amazing times.
A few years later, Chris was present as I proposed to my now-wife of 15 years and later served as a groomsman at our wedding.
In life, good friends are not easy to come by and Chris Sheridan was the best friend to have. He was giving, supportive, funny, adventurous, and would drop everything if he knew you needed help.
Mrs. Sheridan, Grandma Rina, and Chris were such a big part of my early life and I will cherish the memories made together. I’ll always love you brotha – rest easy my friend.

Catherine, I am so sorry to read this about Christopher. As you may recall I was his kindergarten teacher at The Calverton School. He was a delightful child who loved school. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
