Cindy and I met at our daughter’s ballet class when Jessica was five years old, now our girls are in their early 40s. So many good memories of Cindy and her family. My heart is very heavy knowing of her passing.
My deepest condolences and love go out to her family and friends through this very difficult time.
R.I.P. Cindy you will always hold a place in my heart. ♥️
Prayers for Earl and all those who will feel the presence of Cindy’s absence.
Love is crafted in our hearts like a jeweler crafts a ring or a cabinet maker crafts a fine piece of furniture. Such love is not a generic, one size fits all endeavor, but a bespoke piece, tailored to a specific person, made to their exact measurements, and capable of fitting no other. When the recipient dies, the heart does not cease its labors.
We were not made for death, nor for time, but made to be eternal beings, our hearts forever laboring on each bit of love, refining it ever more for the beloved. But when death interferes, the recipient, however temporarily, is no longer able to accept our love. It builds up inside us, backs up, if you like, for love cannot be held to one’s self, like some prize found inside a child’s candy box, but must be expressed, given to each for whom it was made. And so it hurts, like so many stinging nettles, tugging at our hearts until we are quite certain the thing will be torn from our chests.
There will be times when you are sure you won’t survive it. You will. God Almighty has you in His hands. He weeps as you weep. He touches your tears as they flow down your cheeks, and through miracle, hurts for you. The wound will be there until you meet your loved one again, but with God’s help, and though it will remain painful, the pain will become more easy to bear.
And with you and for you we will pray for comfort and solace. God bless you all in this time of strife and sadness.
“Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
