Paul Joseph Eagan

Paul Joseph Eagan, 89, of Huntingtown passed away September 16, 2023. He was born April 22, 1934 in Washington, DC to Stanley Joseph and Lillian Camila (Bacigalupi) Eagan. Paul was raised in Hyattsville and graduated from Northwestern High School where he met his wife Mary Ellen DeJarnette. He joined the United States Marine Corps on August 28, 1953 and was honorably discharged on August 27, 1957 after serving in the Korean War in the 3rd Marine Division stationed in Okinawa. Paul married Mary Ellen on April 16, 1960 and they lived in New Carrolton before moving to Huntingtown in 1994. Paul worked as a distributor for Hostess and Little Debbie and was awarded distributor of the year in 2004. He retired in 2005. Paul loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed, arts and crafts, painting, working in the yard, collecting trains, exercising, and watching old Westerns.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Eagan in 2020. He is survived by his children Laurie Peters and her husband Michael of Mt. Airy and Kevin Eagan and his wife Doreen of Huntingtown, grandchildren Ashley Peters, Daniel Peters, and Joshua Eagan and his wife Ariel, great-grandchildren Tatyana, Imriel, Ashira, and Eliora, and Joshua’s mother Gina Folkes.
