Janice Marie Lynch
May 18, 1949 – September 6, 2023
Janice Marie Harrison Lynch, age 74, of Owings Maryland passed away on September 6, 2023, at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland in the arms of her husband Mark and her daughter Christina. She attended public schools in Maryland and was employed as a Senior Account Representative of First American Title Insurance Company.
Janice married Mark S. Lynch Esq. in 1987 and they resided in Upper Marlboro Maryland until moving to Owings, Maryland in 2000. Janice was a successful real estate professional and earned the respect of her peers by the achievement of the designation of Certified Land Title Professional. She was recognized by the real estate industry in Maryland by her election as President of the Maryland Land Title Association in 2005 and she presided over the largest Convention of real estate professionals in Maryland in the history of the MLTA.
Janice was an accomplished antique dealer and traveled to London England for many years to scour the countryside for antiquities which she restored and sold at antiques shows and Savage Mill Antique Center in Savage Mill Maryland. Janice’s antiques were selected for presentation of a Victorian era bedroom at the 34th annual Decorator Show at historic “Oakdale Farm” in Woodbine, Maryland in 2022.
Christmas was a magical time for Janice, and she would host for many years a Christmas Brunch at her home in Owings where dozens of family and friends gathered to share food, blessings, special moments and participate in what became a traditional singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas. Janice felt blessed in life and shared those blessings by donating to the Project Echo Homeless Shelter in Prince Frederick, Maryland and attending and donating to the annual holiday auction for Hospice of Calvert. Janice’s Hospice Christmas Tree remains in her home today.
Janice was a passionate and devoted mother to her daughter Christina and a loving “Nonie” to her beloved twin grandsons, Bryce Howard Paige, and Chase Steven Paige. Janice loved spending weekends at her grandson’s soccer games and tournaments in North Carolina, DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Janice continuously encouraged her grandsons to victory on the field and on extremely rare occasions consoled them in defeat. While Janice was proud of her grandsons Chase and Bryce for their athletic and scholastic ability, she was most proud of “her boys” for being compassionate, caring, loving, respectful and joyful children. Janice wanted most in life for her daughter Tina and “her boys” to have successful and happy life journeys. A special joy for Janice was dinner on the deck of her home overlooking her gardens with Mark, Tina, Chase and Bryce and the inevitable UNO card games that would last well into the night.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Harrison Sr. who passed away in 2000 and her mother Constas Ann Harrison, at age 101 in 2023. Janice is survived by her husband Mark S. Lynch Esq. of Owings, Maryland, her daughter Christina (Tina) Marie Buck of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, her twin grandsons Chase Steven Paige and Bryce Howard Paige, her siblings Patricia A. Riddle and her husband Jimmy of Tracy’s Landing, Maryland, Beverly J. Smith of Portsmouth, Ohio, William Henry Harrison Jr. of Clarksville, Indiana, Josephine C. Guarino of Annapolis, Maryland and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mark, I have no words…. Jan was a force of nature and a woman I always admired for her determination and fierce defense of her agents. I know everyone will miss her.
You and your loved ones will be in my prayers at this very difficult time.

Alice…the loss of my beautiful bride Janice was heartbreaking, and it is comforting to know that so many people respected and loved her as a friend, as a colleague, or a title agent she was devoted to and loved not only as clients but as friends. Jan had an enormous heart and there was always room for one more person, one more colleague, one more family member as her life journey progressed and touched so many people along the way. I know Jan had an extra special place in her heart for you and she told me when you spoke and how much she missed seeing you. Jan’s First American family was a large part of Jan’s personal and professional life journey and I know she was blessed by knowing you… Love you Alice….Mark
Mark, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Jan was an absolute joy to work with and her agent’s and First American family loved her. She will definitely be missed. RIP Jan. Mark, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Dear Mark, My heartfelt condolences for you and your family. Jan has always been a bright light to me and this industry.
A warm friend, a positive influence and a nurturing presence.
She will be missed but, her spirit will remain with everyone that has come in touch with her.
With Love,
Godspeed,
Frank Jablonski.
Mark, we are so sorry for your loss. Jan was always looking out for us, especially after losing Craig. She will be missed. There was never a time she visited that she wasn’t talking about the family. Our prayers are with you and the family.

Mark,
My deepest condolences and sympathies to you and your family. Jan was an amazing woman and she will be missed. I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. Much love is being sent to you and your family.
My dear friend Mark – it is so difficult losing a spouse. However your strong Christian faith, close family and many friends will make it a little less painful. I respected Jan very much and she was one of my heroes. She encouraged me to earn my title insurance license! Your devotion to one another was geuine and I was inspired by that. I will keep you both in my prayers. Kathee
Hello, Mark and Christina
We are so very very sad to hear of the passing of Ms. Janice. She was such an amazing, beautiful, wonderful woman with a smile and gracious heart that just blessed those around her. She will be missed. I have so many memories of her…even before you all were married. Please accept our condolences and know that we are thinking of you all and praying that God sends his most precious of Angels to comfort you and your family. It is hard for me to put what is in my heart into words but just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Tom, Debbie, and Jenny Priolo
Jan, I love you, my friend, and will miss you more than words can say.
Mark, Tina, Chase & Bryce, my heart just breaks for you. While Jan was a tiny little person, I know she was a HUGE and integral part of your lives, every single day. My hope is that, with time, you will hurt less and be surrounded by the good and comforting memories of an amazing woman.
We are all better people for having known Jan.
Love, Linda
Donell…Thank you for the picture of my beautiful bride Janice in the company of friends and colleagues she adored.
You were one of her absolute favorites as I often heard her speak to you on the phone, or in a nightly recap of our day, she would often gleefully mention how much she enjoyed you as a person, a colleague and a friend. Thank you for being a bright light on my beautiful bride’s life journey. First American was so important to Janice in her professional and personal life and she was blessed to have you among her “First American Family”! Thank you for bringing joy to my beloved Jan….

Mark, you were the love of Jan’s life and it could be seen by everyone. I hope you find comfort in knowing how much she loved you! Hoping each loving memory will soften the grief you and your family feel now bringing you peace and healing everyday.
