We will always remember Dot as a pillar of our community and volunteer but also a beautiful friend. She was a wonderful lady full of love and treasured her family and friends. May you hold her memories in your hearts and she will always be with you.
Our love and prayers are with you all.
Frank Brady, Barbara and family.
My Aunt Dot was truly one of the most remarkable people I have known. If you look in the dictionary at the word “connector,” you will probably see Dorothy Gibson’s photo: she drew people together, family and friends. A woman of character, she modeled strength in adversity and continued to display her warm humor and radiant smile no matter what. Nephew Greg Thompson (San Diego)
My deepest sympathies are with Ricky and the family. I worked a short time with Dot. Many, many years later I would see her at the beauty shop in Prince Frederick when I took my mom. I enjoyed talking old times, family and good gossip. I looked forward to seeing her. I loved and respected her.
Not so much of a condolence, more of thank you. My Gram taught us all about God, love, faith, and forgiveness, and that reflected back on her with so many people. The amount of people stopping in to visit or calling surely brightened her days. I would like to thank everyone for that. A very special thank you to the whole family, of course, but to Uncle Rick, Ms. Phil Brooks, Mr. Joe Brooks, Ms. BJ Cox, and last but not least Brittany Ward. What all of you did for Gram; the appreciation cannot be described in words, but that beautiful smile of Gram’s said it all. Thank you all again.
My prayers and condolences to Dottie’s family and close friends. I worked with her for 3 years at Calvert Bank in the original bldg. in PF shopping center. She was an intelligent lady and a mentor to me in the banking field and I appreciate that she helped further my career but mostly I appreciate her friendship and love which she gave abundantly to everyone.
Through all she had been through personally, she set an example to all of us of strength and how to live our lives and still took the time to make a call, send a note or give a word of encouragement. I can’t say how much I appreciate her and will miss her.
Treasure her memory. Heaven now is a brighter place with her smile and open arms for all her loved ones.
