Pamela Jane Whitlow
July 2, 1955 – September 30, 2022
Pamela Jane Whitlow, 67, of Rose Haven passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, surrounded by family. Pamela was born July 2, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina, to William Edward and Mary Jane (Brown) Cochran. Pamela was raised in a military family that traveled to and made their home in places around the globe, including California, Hawaii, New York, South Carolina, and Iran before settling in Maryland. Pamela served as an Officer for the United States Capitol Police Department for 24 years and in 2003 opened The Magnolia Shoppe, a home décor and gift shop in Friendship. Pamela’s family was her pride and joy; a doting mother and wife, she prioritized family above all else. Pamela was a woman of deep faith who lived her life dedicated to the Lord.  Pamela exuded a love that was unmatched, was a friend to all, and anyone who met her can attest to the special, caring, and devoted person she was. In her spare time, Pamela enjoyed gardening, sewing, and traveling the world, but most of all she treasured spending time with her family. Pamela was a well-loved and respected member of her family and community who will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Bruce Whitlow; children Jennifer Campbell (Bryan) of Lothian and Heather Crowley of Rose Haven; grandchildren Rory Campbell and Alice Campbell; siblings Janet Farrell (Jack), William Cochran (Stephanie), and John Cochran (Cindy); and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Dear Bruce,
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but she sounds like a beautiful lady with many friends and Colleagues, who speak so highly of her. I met you while I visited the Magnolia Shoppe. You spoke so lovingly about her. Ever since we spoke, I have often thought of her, as well as prayed to God to comfort her and give her strength and courage. May God wrap his Glorious arms around her, as well as the entire family and friends that will be going through this most difficult time. May She Rest in Peace.
There are moments, when time stops. When our daily rush disappears and we see, what is the most important. We will all miss the time spent with so special people like Pamela.
