Mary Patricia “Pat” Walton
March 6, 1940 – September 14, 2022
Mary Patricia “Pat” Walton, 82, a resident of Asbury Solomons passed away peacefully surrounded by her four children on September 14, 2022. She was born in Washington, D.C. on March 6, 1940, to Charles H. and Gertrude Rita (Colliflower) Walton. The oldest of nine, Pat was raised in Washington, D.C. and spent the summers with her family in Fairhaven on the Chesapeake Bay. Pat raised her four children in Rockville and spent her later years in the Ocean City and Chesapeake Bay area, often surrounded by her grandchildren. An accomplished surgical nurse, Pat graduated from the Bon Secours Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore and worked in leadership roles at the top hospitals in the Washington, D.C., and Annapolis area during her distinguished 35-year nursing career, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who recognized her greatness by naming her “Super Pat,” being at the beach, gardening and quietly helping those most in need. A member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach, Pat was devout and active in her Catholic faith and volunteered for many charitable causes through her church community.
Pat is survived by her children Terri Yates and husband Ron of Solomons, Jackie Krebs of Baltimore, Gina Alther and husband Todd of Berlin, and Robert Krebs and wife Liz of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are grandchildren Mary Ford (Thomas), Ronnie Yates (Meaghan), Kyle Yates (Sydney), Matthew Yates, Annie Yates, Stephen Alther, Katie Krebs, William Alther and Peter Krebs, great-grandchildren Brighid Ford, Ronnie Yates, and Kip Yates, siblings Charles “Buddy,” Michael, Linda and Richard Walton, Rita Robb, Peggy Carr, and Joan Hines, and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her brother Joe Walton.
Pat’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the loving and dedicated caretakers and staff at Asbury Solomons who brought peace and comfort to her in her final time with us.
Condolences

I didn’t know her well but recognize her pic and since I’m wheelchair bound, was so sweet and compassionate! My condolences to all her family, as she was an angel on earth, being a nurse! RIP Miss Pat
