Patricia Jean “Patty” Hinkle Mehosky
June 14, 1954 – July 29, 2022
Patricia Jean “Patty” Hinkle Mehosky, 68 of Lusby, MD, left us to be with the angels on July 29, 2022.
She was born June 14, 1954, in Montevideo, Uruguay where her father was stationed with the foreign service. In the following years she moved with her family to New York, Washington D.C., Paris, France, Stuttgart, Germany and San Diego, California. She went on to live in San Jose, California and worked as an accountant at San Jose Construction. She loved California.
In 1993 Patty moved to Maryland to marry her wonderful loving husband, Edward Mehosky. They had an amazing life together in Maryland. They worked together as real estate agents at O’Brien Realty; they managed commercial investments; they traveled all over the world and they were active socially with their many friends.
She was smart. She gave of herself to so many. She laughed and smiled and made everyone her friend. She was shy at times. Beauty was very important for her. Be it her clothes, her home, her garden, or be it the beauty of wild forests and rivers and sunsets. She could figure out any accounting challenge, and she could take care of the pigs at her sister’s farm, and she could gracefully fill every room with joy and fun and life. There were so many facets that were Patty. She loved deeply and was deeply loved.
Edward took incredible care of Patty, the housework, the dogs, and the maintenance of house and grounds in her last months. Her friends Gail Siegel, Katie Reed, and her sister, Dorothy Hinkle-Uhlig, regularly visited to support both her and her husband. In her last weeks, her friends from Stuttgart Terry Lacy from Virginia, Jennifer Davis from Alabama, and Sue Shaw from Texas came to see her and she smiled in delight. Later her friends from San Jose, California, Erin and Fran Conte, and Elvis Janjic visited, and she was happy and remembered much. She is loved by many friends in California, Maryland, and all over the world.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Mehosky, her sister, Dorothy Hinkle-Uhlig (Frank), her nephews Karl Uhlig and Daniel Uhlig (Virginia), her great nephews Henry Uhlig and Peter Uhlig, her stepson John Mehosky (Lynn), her step granddaughter Sam Mehosky, the whole Mehosky and Morga families, and many cousins, friends, and those she lightly touched.
Her sister, Dorothy, was honored to be asked to write this obituary.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, MD.
Please, in lieu of flowers, give a donation to your favorite charity in memory of this wonder filled, fun, intelligent, and giving woman, whom we all knew as Patty.
The family is inviting Patty’s friends and family to gather at Patty’s and Edward’s Lusby home after the service for a luncheon.

I met Patty when I was twelve years old, while our fathers were stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Through the years we wrote letters and reconnected in 1999 with our other two besties from Germany. We had twenty- three more years of fun through travel, texts, and phone calls. I’ll miss her like crazy.❤️
