Sending my prayers to you all and the family at the loss of your husband and father. I believe that God has a plan and purpose for each of us and Parran has completed both that were assigned to him. Celebrate his life and not mourn his death because he will continue to live on in each of your hearts and lives. I will continue to pray your strength in the Lord during this difficult time. Be blessed.
I only have good memories of Parran. On my visits for family events I always talked to Parran about what was new and how his farm was doing. Not being a farmer myself he would discuss what he was planting and any problems he was having so I could understand. I will miss these talks and his ever present smile. Rest in peace.

Parran always seemed to be the “oldest” amongst our peer group in high school at Fork Union. Always with some kind of sage perspective on things. He was a good man. The world is better because he was.
