Frank Richard Owens, Sr., 88, of Lothian, MD passed away on January 14, 2022 in Centreville, MD. Frank was born on January 20, 1933 to William and Bessie Owens. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Iowa Battleship BB-61 from 1955 – 1957. Frank was a lifelong resident, farmer and business owner of Anne Arundel County. He retired from his business, Owens Sunoco in 1992, after running it for 40 years. He did, however, continued his love of farming for many years.

Frank is survived by his two sons, Frank R. Owens, Jr, his wife Stacy R. Owens of Lothian, MD; Michael A. Owens, his wife, Sandra B. Owens of Lothian, MD; His grandson, Frank R. Owens lll, his wife Joy M. Owens of Greenwood, VA, and his great granddaughter Kamryn Lauer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Owens in 2012, and his parents William and Bessie Owens.

Frank’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10-12 at the Rausch Funeral Home, 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD 20736. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow the service at Woodfield Cemetery, Galesville and Muddy Creek Road, Galesville, MD 20765. Contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
