(Erlene) Brinson Conerly-Perks, born on November 16, 1938, in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Alvin Bryan Conerly and late Erlene Brinson Conerly, passed away in her home at Asbury Solomons on March 4, 2025. She was preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Sickels and Lou Conerly Hall.
Brinson married Paul Perks on May 4,1991. She is survived by her two (step) daughters, Greykell Dutton (Rick) and Sara Morris (Chuck), her five grandchildren, Matt (Lyla), Kat, Shannon, Alys, and Jimmy-Grey, one great grandchild, Holland, and her nephew, Bryan Sickels (Ronda).
Brinson graduated from Millsaps College (1959) with a degree in Chemistry and worked as a chemist for the Federal Government (NIH, EPA) for 32 years, retiring from the Environmental Protection Agency in 1994.
Brinson had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing and reading. She also enjoyed traveling and some of the places she visited included Ireland (several times), Greece, Mexico, and the American Southwest.
Services will be held for Brinson (and Paul) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Grace Episcopal Church, 5740 Green Valley Rd, New Market, MD 21774.
