Janice Ealy Halloran, 92, of Laurel, MD passed away December 2, 2012 at her residence. She was born January 11, 1920 in Syracuse, NY to Thomas Vincent and Nell (Walsh) Ealy. Janice was raised in Syracuse and graduated from Syracuse University in the early 1940’s. She married Robert P. Halloran on December 24, 1942. Robert was a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, and they traveled extensively overseas and in the United States, and settled in Maryland in 1966. Janice was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, writing, doll making, crafts and needlework.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Robert on November 7, 2008, daughters Anne Halloran Chandler and Ellen Louise Halloran, and by one grandson. She is survived by five children, Maureen Lee Kelly and husband Jerry of Alexandria, VA, Kathy Mlakar and husband Paul of Vicksburg, MS, Christopher R. Halloran and wife Mary Anne of Fallston, MD, Susan M. Beach and husband Jack of Baltimore, MD and Stephen R. “Duke” Halloran of Laurel, MD. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; a sister Ellen Ealy and a brother Robert Ealy, both of Syracuse, NY.
