January 8 – Obituary: Gary Scott Pavis
I went to Linkedin to wish Gary a Happy Birthday, as he shared a birthday with my daughter. After no longer finding him there, I found his obituary. He was an unforgettable person at Calvert Cliffs, even in the most stressful times he could smile and make others laugh. The first time I met Gary, I was hunting signatures at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. He signed where I had asked him to, then starting signing for another person (there were something like five signatures needed). I remember protesting, I didn’t think that John Carroll would be okay with that. And he said “I have seen Moses come down from the mountain, and he looks nothing like John Carroll.” You don’t forget someone like that. Very sorry for your loss.

Heartfelt sympathies to Terri and family for your loss. I first met Gary at Nine Mile Point in the early 2000’s, and later in Baltimore and Calvert Cliffs, and we quickly bonded over the Orioles as well as support of the nuclear stations. I will always smile in remembering the many great conversations we had over the years, and I am grateful to have known him.

Condolences to Gary’s family and friends. Gary was always telling stories, and joking no matter where he was, or the activity taking place. I first met Gary when he worked in Baltimore, and was glad to see that he moved to Calvert County when he join us at CCNPP. Then we even got together at Nine Mile Point. Gary was the life of the party, and a friend to everyone wherever he went. Gary will be missed at our CCNPP Retiree Luncheons.

May 29 – Obituary: Gary Scott Pavis
My sincere condolences to Terry and family. The family, community and CCNPP family has truly lost a “great guy.”
Having met and befriended Pavis in the 80’s, he could always give me something to laugh at. We worked a lot of long hours but they were never dull. He kept us all entertained, always with a story to share or a Groucho impersonation. Having known him for all these years, was a blessing. Gary was devoted to his family and his community and “good Ole Ma Gas” with a strong work ethic. He truly earned his angel wings!
